1. Acceptance of Terms
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Symmetricly website at joinsymmetricly.com (the "Site") and any services we provide through the Site or otherwise (collectively, the "Services"). By accessing the Site or engaging our Services, you agree to be bound by these Terms.
If you are entering into these Terms on behalf of yourself and a spouse, partner, or co-participant, you represent that you have authority to bind them as well. Both individuals participating in any couple's engagement are equally bound by these Terms.
2. Description of Services
Symmetricly provides relationship wellness services, including but not limited to:
- Private relationship intensives (Half Day and Full Day formats)
- Couples and individual therapy
- Premarital preparation
- Relationship education and consulting
- Organizational culture consulting
Specific services, formats, and pricing are described on our website and are subject to change. The specific terms of any engagement are documented in your Private Intake Call and confirmed in writing before payment.
3. Not for Emergencies
Symmetricly is not an emergency service. If you or someone you know is experiencing a mental health emergency, in crisis, or in danger of harming themselves or others, do not use this Site to seek help.
Instead, please:
- Call 911 or go to your nearest emergency room
- Call or text 988 (Suicide and Crisis Lifeline)
- Text HOME to 741741 (Crisis Text Line)
4. Service Engagement and Booking
The Symmetricly engagement process begins with submission of an inquiry form on our Site, followed by a Private Intake Call. Booking of any paid service is confirmed only after:
- Completion of the Private Intake Call (or another mutually agreed initial conversation)
- Receipt of any required deposit or payment
- Mutual agreement on dates, format, and scope
Submission of an inquiry form does not create a clinical relationship between you and Symmetricly. A clinical relationship begins only when both parties have agreed in writing to an engagement and the engagement is underway.
5. Payment, Deposits, and Refunds
Pricing
Service pricing is described on our website and confirmed during your Private Intake Call. Pricing is subject to change, but the price quoted to you for a specific engagement will not change after you have paid the deposit and confirmed the engagement.
Deposits
A deposit may be required to confirm and hold your intensive date. Deposits are credited toward the total cost of your engagement. Specific deposit amounts and timing are described during your Private Intake Call.
Payment in full
The remaining balance for a confirmed intensive is due no later than seven (7) days before the scheduled intensive date, unless we agree to alternative payment terms in writing.
Priority coordination fee
Intensives scheduled within seven (7) days of the initial inquiry may include a priority coordination fee to cover clinician calendar adjustments, expedited intake, and evening or weekend accommodations. This fee is discussed and confirmed during your Private Intake Call before booking.
Refunds
Refunds are governed by the Cancellation and Rescheduling Policy in Section 6. Symmetricly does not generally refund deposits for client-initiated cancellations within seven (7) days of the scheduled intensive, as clinician calendars and resources have already been allocated. Exceptions may be granted at our discretion for genuine emergencies.
Insurance
Symmetricly services are private-pay. We do not bill insurance directly. We can provide a superbill upon request for HSA, FSA, or out-of-network reimbursement, where applicable. Reimbursement by your insurer is not guaranteed and is your responsibility.
6. Cancellation and Rescheduling Policy
By the client
- More than 14 days before the scheduled intensive: deposit is fully refundable or transferable to a future date within twelve (12) months
- 7 to 14 days before the scheduled intensive: deposit is non-refundable but may be applied to a rescheduled intensive within ninety (90) days, subject to clinician availability
- Less than 7 days before the scheduled intensive: deposit and any payments are non-refundable. We may, at our discretion, offer to reschedule for a fee to cover the clinician time already committed
- Documented emergencies (medical, family, or otherwise) may be reviewed for exception at our discretion
By Symmetricly
If we need to reschedule or cancel due to clinician illness, emergency, or other operational reasons, we will reschedule the intensive at the earliest mutually agreeable date or, at your option, fully refund any payments made.
No-show
If you do not appear for a scheduled intensive without advance notice, all payments are forfeited and the engagement is considered complete from Symmetricly's perspective.
7. Your Conduct and Participation
To get the most from your engagement and to allow us to work safely and effectively, you agree to:
- Participate in good faith and engage authentically with the clinical work
- Complete reasonable pre-work and assessments before the intensive
- Arrive on time, well-rested, and not under the influence of substances that would impair participation
- Treat your clinician and any Symmetricly staff with professional respect
- Provide accurate and complete information when asked
Symmetricly reserves the right to discontinue an engagement, without refund, if a client engages in abusive, threatening, or otherwise inappropriate behavior toward staff or their partner during a session.
8. Confidentiality
All clinical engagements are confidential, subject to applicable legal and ethical exceptions described in our Notice of Privacy Practices. Limits of confidentiality include, but are not limited to:
- Mandatory reporting of suspected child, elder, or vulnerable adult abuse
- Imminent threats of serious harm to self or others
- Court orders and other lawful process
In couples engagements, please be aware that Symmetricly does not generally hold separate secrets between partners. Information shared by one partner outside of the couples session may need to be disclosed in the couple's work if it materially affects our ability to provide effective treatment. Your clinician will discuss this policy with you in detail at the start of your engagement.
9. Intellectual Property
All content on the Site, including text, graphics, logos, frameworks, methodologies, action plans, assessments, and workbooks, is the property of Symmetricly or its licensors and is protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.
You may not reproduce, distribute, modify, or create derivative works of any Symmetricly materials without our prior written consent, except that you may print or save copies of materials provided to you as part of your engagement for your personal, non-commercial use.
Action plans, assessment results, and personalized recommendations provided during your engagement are for your personal use only and may not be shared with third parties or used in any commercial context.
10. Disclaimers
Symmetricly provides clinical services and education. We do not guarantee any specific outcome. Relationship work is inherently uncertain, and the effectiveness of any service depends on many factors including the participation, honesty, and effort of both partners.
The Site and its content are provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied. Information on our Site is for general educational purposes and is not a substitute for individualized clinical advice. Reading our Site does not create a clinician-client relationship.
11. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Symmetricly, its founders, clinicians, employees, and contractors will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of or related to your use of the Site or our Services, including but not limited to lost profits, lost data, or emotional distress.
Our total liability to you for any direct damages arising from these Terms or our Services will not exceed the amount you have paid to Symmetricly in the twelve (12) months preceding the event giving rise to the claim.
Nothing in these Terms limits or excludes liability that cannot be limited or excluded under applicable law, including liability for professional malpractice.
12. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Symmetricly and its founders, clinicians, employees, and contractors from any claims, damages, or expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising from your breach of these Terms or your misuse of our Services or Site.
13. Governing Law and Disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Georgia, without regard to its conflict of laws principles. Any disputes arising under these Terms will be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Cobb County, Georgia, and you consent to the jurisdiction of those courts.
The parties agree to first attempt to resolve any dispute through good-faith direct discussion before pursuing legal action.
14. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page. Material changes will be communicated through reasonable means, which may include posting a notice on our website or contacting you directly. Continued use of the Site or Services after an update constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
